Introducing FundFrame Monitoring, a complete portfolio intelligence module for LPs. Track commitments, returns, exposure, and quarterly performance across every fund and underlying company in one system.

Monitoring

We're launching Monitoring, a complete portfolio intelligence module built specifically for the way LPs actually work. One system for commitments, returns, exposure, capital activity, and quarterly performance, across every fund and every underlying company.

Why Monitoring

Most LPs run their monitoring out of a patchwork of spreadsheets, PowerPoint exports, and quarterly PDFs. The numbers exist, but they don't talk to each other. By the time an analyst has reconciled the latest capital account statements with last quarter's NAVs and pulled together a portfolio view, the next quarter is already underway.

Monitoring collapses that work into a single place, with the calculations, exposure rollups, and trend visibility done for you.

The portfolio in one scan

The Overview page is the first thing you see. Five summary cards across the top (Commitment, NAV, Distributions, Total Value, IRR) give you the portfolio story before you scroll. Below that, a cash flow rollup shows calls and distributions across the entire book so you can read liquidity and pacing without opening a single fund.

The Development tab shows what changed this quarter: capital calls, distributions, NAV movements, and the biggest movers. Insights surfaces portfolio patterns and confirms your data is complete.

Three lenses on every portfolio

The same portfolio can be viewed three ways (Dashboard, Development, and Portfolio Companies) while keeping the same grouping and filters. Switch between curated portfolios (a house view, a single program, a single mandate) and custom groupings you build yourself, all from the left sidebar. Once selected, the metrics aggregate to that grouping: commitment, cash returned, current NAV, value multiples.

Every fund, every company

The Funds view puts every invested fund in a single table (commitments, NAV, distributions, multiples, IRR), with filters for GP, asset class, geography, sector, and vintage. Compare side by side, then open any fund into its full monitoring sheet without losing your filters.

Every fund detail page carries five tabs: Performance, Quarterly Data, Portfolio Companies, Development, and Notices.

See-through exposure

Click into any portfolio company to see valuation development, operating metrics, comments, and which funds across your portfolio hold it. Concentration risk, overlap across funds, and current allocations are visible without leaving the page. Companies that have been written off carry a dedicated written-off status with a clear red indicator across every Monitoring view.

Independent valuations, by design

This is the part most LP tools skip. Capital account statements, quarterly reports, and capital notices are extracted into structured data the moment they enter the system: every line item, every metric, every cash flow.

That extracted data is yours. Company valuations, operating metrics, and the fund-level Valuation Over Time table are all editable inline and through dedicated edit sheets. So when you disagree with a GP mark, you don't have to argue it in a footnote. You can run your own valuation against the same underlying data and see it propagate through your reports, charts, and trend badges immediately.

For Danish-regulated LPs, this is the operating model the Finanstilsynet (Danish FSA) expects: the ability to challenge GP valuations and document an independent view of fair value. Monitoring makes that the default path, not a parallel spreadsheet.

Reports that write themselves

The Reports module ships with two report types:

  • Fund exposure reports: every company a fund is exposed to
  • Company exposure reports: every fund exposed to a given portfolio company

Each report supports a pro-rata / fund-share toggle, period-specific views, and a single-click PDF export. Fund reports can optionally expand to include every underlying company, with header, metric cards, valuation chart, operating data, and current-period note rendered in a single document. Drop it into an IC pack as-is.

Calculations done for you

TVPI, DPI, IRR, and the J-curve are calculated automatically from the underlying cash flows, at fund level and rolled up to the portfolio. No manual spreadsheet work, no separate model. Multi-currency is native: track commitments in any currency while reporting consolidates to your organization's base currency.

Every metric card carries a period-over-period trend badge, so the direction of travel is always visible alongside the number itself. The Feed keeps a running record of what changed across the portfolio (commitments, valuation updates, distributions, notes, and notices), and the Notices view tracks capital notices end to end. CSV import is supported for bulk updates, and every change is captured against your organization's data history.

Monitoring is live now in production. See it in the platform or book a demo and we'll walk you through your portfolio in it.
